My name is Jack Gentile, I am one of the founders of this great group of Veterans. I served with the U.S. Army from 1970 to 1973 my MOS was 11B10 my last duty station was with Company "A"  1^st Battalion 16^th Infantry, The Big Red One, in Germany. My nickname was Jocko, because nobody could pronounce my first name which is Giacomo. In Italian, it is pronounced Jock-o-mo. I was named after my Grandfather but everyone called him Jack. I come from an Army family, my Father served in World War II with the Combat Engineers in Germany. His picture is below for all you World War II Veterans, maybe you served with him or my Uncle Jimmy who was in the Coast Guard during the war  and my Uncle Johnny who was in the Army in the South Pacific during World War II, my Uncle Al was in the Army in Korea

For the last 30 years, I have been working in the Aviation industry working with the different Airlines, Governments and Corporations around the world, which I really love because I get to travel the world and meet all kinds of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Most of my close friends are Veterans and we still get together for fishing , hunting and camping trips, whenever we can. That's how we came up with the idea for Veteran Search while sitting around the campfire having a few beers, wondering what our other service buddies were doing and where they were in their lives. So we formed a plan to locate as many as we could and this was the best way we could come up with. We did not expect it to take off the way it did ! We have one of the largest data bases of Veterans available on the internet today. There is not much more to tell without boring you, I work hard and lead a simple life like most of us do. I hope you join our group and find your buddies too.
