Amazing thing when I got home from a few days away , my wife
said I needed to check the answering machine, there was a message from some guy named Jack. I had just signed up with
AVS
about a week ago. It was Jack from
AVS
with a guy named AL, from 32 years ago, on
conference call. They left phone numbers and I called Al right away.
You
see Al and I had history at USNH Newport and he was the Anesthesia
Tech who wheeled me to the Operating Room in Quang Tri, I was pretty
much out of it then and that was the last time I saw him. What a phone call.
But that wasn't enough, Jack called again about four hours later with
another guy on the line also formerly from USNH Newport and FMF
Pendleton.
Talk about too much for one night,
but it was fabulous.
Planning a reunion with AL in Newport in about a week, turns out he's got
a place there and I live 40 minutes away. To Jack and all the
AVS
crew,
Thanks more than mere words can say. I know your work today is going to
keep me wound up for weeks,
it got misty there for a
while. If there is
anything else I can do please ask.
If we all sign up, then we all can be
found!

All of my heartfelt thanks to Jack for locating some of my
buddies from my tour in Vietnam.
My wife has been trying to locate any of
these guys for the past year and got nowhere until stopping here.
I have
had two reunions so far, both of which have been great.
What a rush to
talk to someone you served next to and hadn't seen or heard from in over
thirty years!
I still have three more reunions to make and will be doing so
very soon. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With love and thanks for all Veterans, Alan Allen

Hi My Name is Miguel (Mike) Rincon and I have been looking for a friend from Nam, His Name is
Carroll (buddy) Hottinger and he was from Azusa Calf, But this past week I found him in Arkansas
and he is doing fine. The Last time I seen him or talked with him was in Dec of 1969 when I came home from there. It was so good
to talk with him. Thanks for all the help.

I wanted to personally thank all of you at
AVS
for such a quick
response to my request to help find a long lost WWII buddy for my father.
My father had exhausted all the known search avenues including a number of trips out of state in an attempt to locate his best buddy all to no avail.
His name did not come up in your database, but you went beyond the call of duty to locate him
using your other resources. Thanks again to Jack Gentile and the rest of your crew. You have made two veterans very very happy.

WOW!!!!!!
To:
AVS
- JACK WOW!!!! In less than 24 hours my wife was
talking to our friends in the AIR FORCE on the phone.
We had not seen or talked to Joe and Bebe Silcox since around 1959 when
we were stationed in Miami, Fla.
I was shipped to Japan for three
years and we lost contact since then. I'm looking forward to talking to Joe and Bebe tonight. What a wonderful feeling!!!!!
Thank you for your excellent results. I'll spread the word for sure.
