AVS Guestbook: The Guestbook is designed to post stories about reunions made possible by VeteranSearch.com and to post short important notices and your comments about our website. This Guestbook is NOT Searchable, so in time your message will disappear from view, for all new visitors to see. Not many visitors will read several thousand messages on a scrolling message board. So eventually your message will be lost in the shuffle.
AVS Searchable Message Center: This Message Center is designed to post information from Veterans searching for their Buddies, Family Members of Veterans searching for a Veteran who has served with a KIA loved one and concerned Americans, looking for there POW/MIA Bracelet Veterans or family members, and Students looking to interview, or speak to a Veteran for a school project. Here we have divided our message boards into over 144 searchable categories. Now you are able to post, view or search previous messages in specified categories.
At the top of each One of the 144 separate Message Categories there is a
"SEARCH BUTTON" If you use this search feature properly, It can and has
produced quite a few reunions. This Search button allows you to perform full text searches based on a Keyword or Name in any message posted, including the archives. (Each category is archived every month to assure that the message center will load faster.) Your message should include as many important facts, places, names and nicknames of the buddies you would like to contact. The more info you post here the better the text search will perform. Here your message will never get lost in the shuffle. It will always be here for a full text search.

category. This will help to direct your message to the right area of discussion.
American Veteran Search presents several unique Databases for
"Veterans Searching for Veterans"
1) AVS Main Searchable Data Base: (Password and User Name Required) This database holds approx. 1.5 million names and ways to contact these Veterans. It includes information for contacting your Buddy Today! Includes: Name, Rank, Branch of Service, MOS, present home address, Phone number, Email Address and other present information on your Buddy. All Members are able to search freely for as many buddies as they wish, as many time as they wish and, add their military information.
2) AVS Subscribes to Outside Data Bases: We here at AVS have access to several other Large Data Bases both on and off the Internet, which we Pay to subscribe to and have access to search freely. These databases consist of over 300 million names, addresses and phone numbers compiled from multiple public, private, government, military, insurance companies and proprietary sources. These Members Only data bases which we subscribe to won't let us add them to directly to our site for our members to search freely. So! We will search them for our members. We will conduct an extensive search both on and off the Internet for your buddies... Slowly but surely we are transferring this information into our data base so our members will all be able to search for themselves. But! Until then Jack, Rich and the AVS Search Team will be working hard for our members, to search & reunite them with their buddies.
This is called our AVS "10 Most Wanted Search" Here we actually get involved with the search for your buddy! We track them down, speak to them and put you on a conference call with them.... Send us the most complete details that you have on your buddy ( First, Middle, Last name, nickname, maiden name, spouses name, home town, branch of service, yr. of service, where stationed, etc.) We will then notify you by E-mail of our findings or put you on a Three-way Phone conversation with your buddy. You must include you User Name and Password along with your invoice number to verify your paid membership.
3) AVS Newsletter Linked Databases: Here we provide many links to individual websites and databases containing information on millions of active duty, reserve, and retired military personnel. American Veteran Search offers these databases as a service that will hopefully assist veterans in locating Buddies they served with.
These databases are continually updated daily by the integration of additional Members adding their Military information and from Military Personal Records that we are adding daily, to produce a database of exceptional depth.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It has come to our attention, that members clicking the "ADD ME" button think that this adds their information to our data base. This button only adds your E-mail address to the AVS Newsletter list, "NOT" the AVS Data Base.
